Rolando Amadeo, MD, FAAPMR
Dr. Amadeo was born and raised in Puerto Rico until he was nearly 27 years old. He grew up in a town where his father’s family had been pharmacists since 1870 serving that community. Working during the summers at his father’s pharmacy, that’s how Dr. Amadeo learned how to care for people. Dr. Amadeo completed Medical School in Puerto Rico which he finished in 1994. He then completed specialty training in Upstate New York in Syracuse. He specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and he became the Chief Resident of the program in his senior year. He finished his specialty in 1998. Subsequently, he did a year fellowship program in the same institution with a subspecialty in Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Amadeo has been Board Certified by his Specialty Academy since 2001. After training he worked in private practice with an Orthopedic group in South Florida for 8 years. He has been working in his current private practice in the Orlando area since 2007, where he and his lovely wife enjoy spending time raising their children. He is passionate about practicing medicine, including performing nerve and muscle studies (NCV/EMG), evaluation of injuries to decide the proper testing and physical therapy needed, treatment of knee arthritis with viscosupplementation injections, and has now implemented utilizing platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections to help with healing of musculoskeletal conditions.
The main goal of Dr. Amadeo and his practice is to always promote increased function of the patients besides their injuries or degenerative conditions. That’s what Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is all about!!!
